Alfar Capital has been recognized with the prestigious M&A Deal of the Year award at the 8th Annual Quebec M&A Awards Gala. The gala, held on May 15, 2024, celebrates successful transactions closed in 2023 and honours outstanding dealmakers and advisory firms in Quebec.
The winning deal involved acquiring three prominent Canadian managed service provider groups—MSP Corp, Stronghold, and Netex—in a transaction exceeding $100 million. Following these acquisitions, MSP Corp merged with Groupe Access, creating a robust pan-Canadian platform for digital transformation, cloud computing, and cybersecurity solutions. Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec provided financing for this successful venture, and Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP acted as legal counsel to Alfar Capital. Fares Kabbani, Alfar Capital’s Founder and Managing Partner, expressed excitement and gratitude for the award.
