Martin van den Hoeven

VICE PRESIDENT, FINANCE AND INVESTOR RELATIONS

With a background forged within the investment funds domain, Martin currently serves as the Vice President, Finance and Investor Relations at Alfar Capital. His most recent significant accomplishment entails the development of a hybrid finance solution for Fondaction, achieved through close collaboration with institutional lenders and investors. Previous to this, he helped build up the team and process for Sagard’s first fintech VC funds. Preceding these endeavors, he held the role of Vice President, Finance at two specialized asset management firms located in Montreal: Presima and HR Strategies.

Martin has helped build and operationalize investment vehicles, funds and SPVs for institutional clients over the past years. Specializing in the fund of funds, VC funds, and other private vehicle, Martin creates teams and process’ to ensure a best-in-class framework for the strategic success of all parties. Deep technical knowledge allows him to establish meaningful and practical relationships with subject matter experts in various areas such as law, taxation and create confidence with institutional investors.

A CPA member since 1995, Martin pursued his studies in Montreal at Concordia University. Throughout his career, he has accumulated valuable experience both in Europe and Toronto.
